We are delighted that yesterday members of the Borough of Poole Planning Committee unanimously supported our planning application in relation to the Poole Park Life project. The application featured all of the proposals that have been consulted upon over the last few years, and feature in the ‘6 project themes‘.
We now await the decision from the Heritage Lottery Fund trustees in the next few weeks on our grant application, we are keeping fingers crossed and very much looking forward (and hoping) to be celebrating this summer! If successful the Delivery Phase of the project will run from August 2017 to August 2021.
The planning officer’s conclusion:
“The proposed development would result in significant enhancements to the character and appearance of heritage assets, biodiversity, accessibility and the recreational facilities of the park. The resultant environmental; social; and economic benefits would substantially outweigh any perceived harm through the addition of new features within the historic park. The proposal accords with the relevant policies and the application is recommended for approval.
