Park Bench donations welcomed

AT THE FRESHWATER LAKES, QUIET GARDEN AND GARDEN OF MEMORIES AND REFLECTION

Following the success of the Quiet Garden, where chunky hardwood benches and other seating has attracted the support of public donations, new benches are now being made available for public donation there and elsewhere in the Park.

The options are detailed below; the prices quoted include a personalised brass or stainless steel plaque with which to remember a loved one or celebrate a life event. Also covered is the supply and maintenance of your chosen bench for a period of 10 years. After that time you will be contacted and asked if you would like to continue with your donation.

At the Freshwater Lakes

The area around the freshwater lakes, behind The Ark café, has been improved with a range of new landscaping, including gabion basket lake edges, surfacing to replace the crazy paving and considerable new areas of shrub and tree planting.

To allow visitors to fully appreciate these improvements, new benches and picnic sets have been installed and are now available for public donation. The new benches complement those in the Quiet Garden, which have been very well received, and provide a resting point to enjoy views across the lakes whilst surrounded by new seaside-themed shrub planting (to be planted in May/June 2019). The new picnic sets have been installed between the play area and the miniature railway station, with the surrounding area also being improved as part of the works.
