It has almost been a year since we were successful in our application for a Tesco Bags of Help grant of £8,000.
Since then and following design consultation workshops with local residents, we have:
- Dredged the fresh water lake adjacent to the garden
- Cleared the site of gravel and concrete
- Installed a new layout including a sensory pathway, and
- Worked with gardening volunteers to plant more than 1,000 plants!
The new seating is soon to be installed, with two of the benches being donated through the Borough of Poole Bench Memorial Scheme.
We would like to invite you to the formal launch of the Quiet Garden where you can learn more about the design and planting, plant some bulbs and explore the garden while listening to a local community choir! There will be hot drinks and nibbles provided and a chance to ask those involved any questions that you may have. We look forward to seeing you there!
