Next week kicks off a period of events and activities in Poole Park. We purposefully avoid undertaking large capital projects through the summer when the park is at its busiest, allowing time for some public activities. All the events (and works) are scheduled on the Poole Park Life calendar, and those coming up soon include:
- Only Rain To Drain events, creating awareness of the importance of what goes in to Poole Park’s lakes and lagoon. Events include marking drain gullies near the park, talking to residents and businesses and much more. Things kick off this Tuesday and Wednesday, closely followed by…
- A Lakes and Lagoon day. Whether you like getting mucky and can help litter pick the lagoon whilst it is drained down and help repair one of the islands; or if you prefer just to find out a bit more about future improvements then please come along on Thursday between 12 and 6pm at the Middle Gate Car Park. We will also be joined by Natural England with their new marine engagement trailer and Litter Free Coast & Sea, offering advice and information.
And then jumping forwards, we have
- The Poole Park Funday and Arts Exhibition, see here for more details for the event on Thursday 2nd August, and we look forward to seeing your arty entries!!
- and a Bat walk and talk on Saturday 11th August, more details to be confirmed nearer the time.
