The Poole Park Fun Day on 2nd August was a great success! A large number attended and took part in a range of activities such as:

  • Making clay fishes using entrance gate panel moulds
  • Entering the Poole Park community art competition
  • Completing a Victorian botanical illustration
  • Playing hockey, football and other sports games
  • Making grassy caterpillars, butterfly feeders, nature mobiles or prints of tree rings
  • Wall Climbing, face painting or learning circus skills
  • Helping build a raft out of plastic water bottles and watching it float on the lagoon!

Most of the activities were free, with some activities provided at a low cost. The event also provided information regarding improvements that have are been made, or soon to be made, in Poole Park and how people can get involved through volunteering.

A huge thank-you goes to everyone who took part, who attended and especially those who volunteered at the event. If you would like to volunteer at similar events in the future, please contact Toni Powell via toni.powell@poole.gov.uk. Thank-you.
