Poole Park Life is a specific project being led by the Environmental Services department of Borough of Poole and is principally funded by National Lottery Players, through the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). The project is split in to different themes that helped to explain the project through the development stages and split the capital work in to manageable chunks.

All the consultation material and proposals are still available here on the ‘Six Project themes’ and ‘Project background’ tabs at the top of the page. This news article provides the financial summary (pdf) of the project, showing broad themes of expenditure and where all of the funding has come from, as submitted to the HLF in February 2017.

As the project progresses some items have proven to be more expensive and some less so, and this allows us to alter budgets accordingly to maximise the benefit the funding brings. Additional grants and funds are also being sought all the time to try and do more.

All project expenditure over £25,000 is procured through an open-source procurement portal which meets Borough of Poole Financial regulations and Government requirements, and all expenditure is subject to monitoring and audit by the HLF.
