Aggregate Industries have been setting up in Poole Park for a few weeks but this week has seen the first ‘real’ works take place.<\/p>\n

These regular updates will feature the work that has taken place, why and where and then outline what is coming next. You can read previous News articles<\/a> or take a look at the Access project page<\/a> to get a greater depth of understanding of all of the improvements taking place.<\/p>\n

This week: <\/strong>Work has started to change Westfield car park, next to The Kitchen restaurant. The entrance to the car park is being narrowed and new paths constructed around the edges to make it easier for pedestrians to cross and navigate around the space. The overall layout of the car park will also be more sympathetic in the wider landscape, using gentle curves to replicate what would have originally been landing stages to the waters’ edge for horse and carriage. The photos below show the trenching for new kerbs to be installed around the edges and the excavation of top soil for the foundations to go in. This work was originally scheduled for later in the works programme but has been brought forward to take advantage of the vehicle restrictions. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
