As such there will be some impact on park users as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The path along the railway line, between the subway and the model yacht club will be closed. Security fencing and construction signage will be in place to restrict access and provide information on the project. This closure will be in place throughout the works which should complete in April.<\/li>\n<li>The area around the large freshwater lake behind The Ark will also be similarly fenced and access will be restricted.\u00a0However, access to the front and back of The Ark and to the play area will remain open at all times.<\/li>\n<li>In addition, park users should be aware of heavy plant movements throughout the park at various times. Contractors working on the lakes and lagoon will be working some weekends to achieve the works in the most efficient way, however noise and disturbance will be kept to a minimum.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The existing pile of top soil and crazy paving stone, (in the photo above) which is currently fenced off, has been recovered from other work in the park and instead of paying for disposal, will be re-used as part of these improvements<\/p>\n<p>The details of the works can be found on individual project pages, for the <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/ppl-sluicebridge\">sluice bridge<\/a> and for the <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/ppl-lakeslagoon\">dredging and habitat improvements to the lagoon.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>There will be a <strong>guided walk on Saturday 9th\u00a0February at 11am<\/strong> to explain the works, details to be confirmed nearer the time.<\/p>\n<p>News updates will be published weekly, along with regular updates to site posters, notice boards and the monthly newsletter.
