The new Outdoor Gym equipment has been supplied by Kompan UK; their fitness range meets our quality aims, being made from galvanised steel and double dipped in molten zinc to maximise resistance to corrosion and other environmental impacts. <\/o:p>Installation was completed August 2021.<\/p>\n

Location changes<\/h3>\n

Following a review of the current outdoor fitness equipment and its condition, the 2020 consultation results (below) and the budget available, the decision was made to reduce the number of outdoor exercise stations at Poole Park, Baiter and Whitecliff.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

In Poole Park<\/strong> this means fewer outdoor fitness equipment stations around the lagoon (large lake); new equipment has been installed and existing equipment will be refurbished. A new exercise station has been installed in Copse Close, near to Copse Close car park that will overlook the cricket pitch.<\/o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n

For Whitecliff and Baiter<\/strong> it was thought that the exercise stations were too spread out, so there is now a single location, with more equipment, located at Baiter, near the toilet block.<\/p>\n

Our thanks to the 191 people that completed an online survey about outdoor fitness equipment and their use of it in Poole Park, Whitecliff and Baiter.<\/p>\n

The results of the survey are available to download (PDF summary document<\/a>)<\/p>\n

Further feedback from residents and councillors resulted in the single exercise station at Harbourside Park being installed at Baiter rather than at Whitecliff as originally planned.<\/p>\n
