Poole Park Community Arts Exhibition

Saturday 12th August 2017
10am to 3pm, on the West Field

Poole Park offers a wealth of opportunity for artists, photographers and potters to portray its many unique features and facilities as they have evolved since the park was created in 1890.

Art for the community & visitors

The Poole Park Community Arts Exhibition aims to bring the community together and draw in visitors to view art in various forms. We have a number of competitions for painting, photography and sculpture which people of all ages can enter.

There will be various live performances throughout the day, artwork on display from local art groups as well as our competition entries, and you will be able to take part in activities such as painting and clay modelling.

Competitions

As part of the exhibition, the organisers will invite artists, photographers and potters to enter their works into competitions for mixed categories and age groups; all works will be based on our theme:

Poole Park: wildlife, nature and landscape, heritage features, community and the many activities that take place in the park.

Performances

Throughout the day there will also be performances by local choirs, musicians and dance groups to further demonstrate the range of community art that exists across Poole.

How to get involved

Display your Art!

If you are part of a local art group, particularly one that involves the local community, or are part of a community organisation or school that would like to display your art pieces – please get in touch with either John or Toni. We can dedicate a space for your artwork and help promote your organisation at the same time. Please note however that we would like for all art pieces to be based on Poole Park, its heritage or its local surroundings.
