Poole Enviroteers wants to get as many residents of Poole volunteering as we can, as part of this we are happy to share that there are opportunities across the Borough to get a taste of volunteering. There is no need to commit and you can turn up as often, or as little, as you like. We want to try and make all the opportunities we offer as accessible and appealing to as many people as we can, and we know how important it can be for people to try out a variety of opportunities before finding the one that suites them best.

All our one-off activities tend to cover a variety of areas and activities, so anyone is always welcome to pop by and see how you like litter picking, tree planting, heathland clearing or any other one of the many activities on offer across Poole! Many community groups across Poole also offer opportunities to come along and try activities once and are always welcoming to returning volunteering if you think it is right for you.

If you would rather volunteer on your own, don’t forget we provide opportunities and the equipment to litter pick, whilst we also provide support for local community based initiatives. If you have an idea based around improving your local environment, why not drop as an e-mail at environmentvolunteers@poole.gov.uk. We can look to link you up with local contacts, help provide advice on running any kind of activities and also allow permission to work on certain areas of land or spaces.

Check out our activity diary now, or drop us an e-mail, to find out how you can begin volunteering!
