Litter Picking Heroes Wanted

Heroes Wanted for the Big Branksome Clean Up!

The Big Branksome Clean Up is headed to Branksome Recreation Ground on Saturday 4th March 2017!

The Poole Enviroteers are delighted to be supporting and promoting this community litter pick, on behalf of local resident Helen Beverley who has done a wonderful job organising it!

Here’s what she would like to tell you about it…

Our team of volunteers will be meeting at 10am on Saturday 4th March 2017 at Branksome Recreation Ground, next to the children’s playground. It’s all part of the national ‘Great Big British Spring Clean 2017’ campaign.

Local Resident Helen Beverley has created this event as part of a national campaign running from 3-5th March, ‘The Great British Spring Clean’. Volunteers are needed, adults and children, to clear litter from the local area in a bid to tackle this ever increasing problem. Helen is keen for local Branksome West residents to join her and take responsibility for the environment in their area, making it a cleaner and safer place for everyone to enjoy and a place we can be proud to live in. The clean up route will start at the Recreation Ground and we will clear the immediate area, working our way up past Heatherlands School and up to the Ashley Road. The more volunteers we have, the bigger area we can cover.

All litter clearing equipment will be provided and a safety briefing will be given prior to the clean up. The council are supporting this event and will be present to help on the day.

Please join me in helping to make Branksome West cleaner and safer for all of us to live in and enjoy. Please email helenbeverley@live.co.uk if you would like to join our team and do something really positive for our local area, or register your interest on this page.

It’s just a few hours out of your Saturday from 10am until 1pm, or whatever you can spare. You can meet your neighbours, make friends and be part of a worthwhile community project.

We will be there on Saturday 4th March, litter picks a-ready!  Sign up at this link, and register at the Facebook event too.
